Course Description
This course will run over 5 specific dates with the plan to continue this into an on-going study club in a similar design.
There is very little didactic teaching designed into this Study Club. It is purely meant to increase your exposure to various
types of surgery.
Membership requires that you have already taken a didactic course on the types of procedures you would like to use in the study club and you wish to enhance your level of experience.
Please submit your course certificates for approval by mentors. Pending you have taken a pre-requisite course, you could perform a surgery at every one of the 5 surgical dates.
These surgeries can be (but not limited to):
+ Single Implant Placement with or without Computer Guided Stent
+ Multiple Implant Placement via Computer Guided Stent
+ Surgical Extractions with Periotomes and Other Aids for Socket Preservation
+ Immediate Implant Placement
+ Implant Placement with Simultaneous Augmentation
Members will be provided with all materials, equipment, implants, membranes, etc. Members are encouraged to bring their own surgical instruments, to utilize what they are most familiar with. However, surgical instruments will be provided if required.
Program Information
This course will run for a total of 5 days of hands on training.
The Mentor is a Certified Periodontist.

Dr.Farzan Ghannad

Dr. Farzan Ghannad, founder of North Vancouver’s Northshore Implant Perio Centre (IPC), is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, a member of the Canadian Academy of Periodontists, the British Columbia Society of Periodontists as well as the American Academy of Periodontists.
Dr. Farzan Ghannad grew up in Ottawa and attained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He completed a three-year surgical specialty residency at the University of British Columbia, for which he earned a Masters in Craniofacial Science as well as a Diploma in Periodontics and Implant Surgery.
Currently, he works in his private practices in Vancouver, North Vancouver and serves the communities of Kamloops, Yellowknife and Campbell River.
